I think that I have come to the conclusion that I can make memorable characters, but I can’t write something memorable with them.
Asm evidenced, I am writing something to submit to the First Line. Roy McCoy could be an interesting character that just wants to get into the pants of this woman, Teresa Ingot, who is actually supermodel Tess Stevens.
As a friend pointed out, what I had was fine, I could skip ahead and get on with it. First Line will take up to 3000 words. Which is good. That means I can make the short story more…something. I’m not gonna tute my own horn. I’m not the best author. In fact, sometimes I wonder if I should be an author at all.
But then, I remember that I love to write and I go through the whole process over again.
